Romanul de fata se incadreaza in genul chick-lit, adica literatura orientata spre problemele personale si profesionale din viata reala, cu care se confrunta femeile moderne.
Lilly Jacobs este o tanara frumoasa si inteligenta, care are impresia ca totul este impotriva sa: parul ei, care seamana cu o ciuperca umflata, ii provoaca mereu necazuri; o deranjeaza mirosurile neplacute din mijloacele de transport in comun; sefa ei a refuzat sa o promoveze in functie; iubitul ei o inseala. Simtind nevoia sa-si reinventeze viata, mai ales ca varsta de 30 de ani(termenul limita fixat de bunica pentru a se realiza profesional ca designer vestimentar) se apropie vertiginos, Lilly demisioneaza si ii da papucii iubitului. incepe astfel o noua etapa a vietii sale, nelipsita de probleme, necazuri si ghinioane – insa totul pare ca poate fi rezolvat mai usor dupa un weekend la spa, cu prietenele ei.
O carte cu umor savuros, amuzanta si relaxanta - pe scurt, o carte scrisa de o femeie pentru femei.
